Buffalo 500gb usb 2.0 external hd 7200rpm $60 (like new, still in box
Western digital 7200rpm sata II 300/mbps $40(used)

So if I'm understanding, there are two. the first one has a capacity of 500 gigs. what is the capacity of the second one?

2nd one is 500 gb, forgot that "minor" detail... uhhum.
Buffalo is a reliable name brand.
Just do some searches on google for reviews and you'll see for yourself.
Btw, the buffalo uses western digital as well, so you're actually getting 2 wds if you elect to buy a total of 1tb for $100.

I may be instrested in the buffalo drive. Wonder if its compatible with the braillenote MPower. Western digitals are.

ntfs runs with the brailleNote, i've done it. the power might be a problem though.
